As the largest public chain, the Ethereum ecosystem includes many vibrant communities around the world with developer gatherings held in cities like Tokyo, Lisbon, Paris, London, Denver, and Dubai. From April 21 to 25, Taipei will host its first-ever “ETTaipei,” which is expected to attract more than 800 participants.
The five-day event will include a three-day hackathon and a two-day conference, focusing on topics such as Ethereum, ZK, DeFi and security. It was launched by a group of enthusiastic developers, including some of the most prominent influencers in Taiwan’s blockchain landscape: Yenwen Feng, co-founder of Perpetual Protocol, Changwu Chen, chief scientist of imToken, Hsuan-Ting Chu, founder by Furucombo, Anderson Chen, co-founder of Diamond Protocol. , Quantstamp Developer Relations Manager Martinet Lee, Lyra Developer Anton Cheng, and others.
Million-dollar hackathon attracts top talent
The hackathon is conducted entirely crypto-natively in cooperation with the Taikai platform, with the aim of ensuring that developers only need to provide as little personal information as possible. The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing anonymous participation online. A 24-hour Hacker House, offering various snacks and drinks, will also be available on-site, allowing developers to team up, chat and work on software development, bringing their ideas to life.
The hackathon prize pool will be funded by well-known teams such as Gnosis, Blocto and Furucombo, with the total prize pool exceeding one million New Taiwan Dollars. Additionally, the event will cooperate with companies like Autopass to integrate “Innovation Proposal” hackathons, allowing more non-engineering blockchain experts to join in the festivities.
Conference focuses on ZK, DeFi and security
The conference will focus on technical topics such as ZK, DeFi and security, covering a variety of topics such as derivatives, options and other DeFi protocols, as well as StarkNet and Aztec layer 2 applications and technologies. conference will also explore the future roadmap of Ethereum, MEV and privacy protocols. Alongside this, there will be topics related to zero-knowledge proofs and security audits, which will not be lacking for developers who want to learn about new technologies or future trends.
In addition to DeFi and Ethereum topics, the two-day conference will include eight in-depth workshops led by renowned teams such as security auditing platform Code4Rena, blockchain analysis tool Tenderly and Ethereum client Nethermind, enabling attendees to become familiar with various tools and the latest ZK technology.
