Ukrainian venture capital fund Roosh Ventures has invested in GlassFlow. GlassFlow is a German startup that develops a data management platform. With other investors including High-Tech Gründerfonds, Robin Capital, TinyVC, angel investors Thomas Domke (CEO of GitHub) and Heikki Nousiainen (co-founder of open source data platform Aiven), the startup raised 1, $1 million in pre-seed round.
The new investment was announced on Facebook by Serhiy Tokarev, IT entrepreneur, investor and co-founder of technology company ROOSH, which includes Roosh Ventures in its ecosystem.
“The startup idea itself is complex but promising because the current market for streaming data analytics exceeds $15 billion, and by 2026, this figure is expected to exceed $50 billion. We expect GlassFlow to soon become a key player in this market“, shared Serhiy Tokarev.
GlassFlow was founded in 2023 in Berlin by Armend Avdijaj and Ashish Bagri, who have over 10 years of experience in real-time data processing. The startup develops solutions that allow Python engineers to easily create and modify pipelines, sequential stages of data processing. The GlassFlow team maintains constant communication with IT professionals, taking their feedback into account to improve the platform.
As Roosh Ventures notes, the data streaming market today is evolving rapidly. Big Data, the Internet of Things, and AI generate continuous streams of data, but companies currently lack the infrastructure development experience to leverage them effectively. Building and managing pipelines requires significant engineering and data analysis efforts, making it difficult to quickly adapt programs to engineers’ needs. Currently, developers use complex systems that require significant maintenance time. GlassFlow solves this problem by consolidating sophisticated tools into a single, easy-to-use platform.
“Our vision is of a world in which data engineers, regardless of experience and education, can easily harness the capabilities of data streaming to drive innovation and growth. By simplifying data infrastructure and fostering the development of an ecosystem based on real data, GlassFlow aims to be a catalyst for this transformation,» underlined Armend Avdijaj, CEO of GlassFlow.
