The Solana Foundation has become an ecosystem partner of the Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), one of the free economic zones in the United Arab Emirates.
According to announcement Starting October 15, with its blockchain platform, Solana will provide technical and business development support to any member of the DMCC Crypto Center. The company will also offer webinars and training courses on various Web3 topics and expand its already operational grants program at DMCC.
Existing Solana partners will in turn benefit from privileged treatment within the DMCC, according to the center’s CEO, Ahmed Bin Sulayem:
“We will provide free setup and commercial licenses for projects in the Solana ecosystem, while our members will be able to access a world-class blockchain platform and dedicated Solana engineering teams who can propel their businesses to new heights. new heights.”
DMCC’s list of ecosystem partners also includes cryptocurrency exchange Bybit, digital assets market maker DWF Labs, Web3 incubator TDeFi, venture capital fund Brinc and several other entities, while that the total number of members of the center officially represents 23,000 companies.
Along with the Abu Dhabi Global Market and the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, the DMCC is one of the first three economic free zones established in the UAE for improve its investment climate. This trio will soon to join by Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis, unveiled at Blockchain Life 2023.
In September 2023, the Solana network occupied the 10th place in the world in terms of total value locked, with an equivalent of approximately $359 million.
