So I’m prepping a content creation computer for work, and my tech, who is in charge of the actual provisioning, swears that large SSDs fail at a higher rate than disk drives in rotation. That it would be safer to get a small boot disk and a larger secondary disk for long term storage.
he can’t tell me where he read it, but he is convinced that HDDs are more reliable and secure than SSDs and NVME.
has anyone heard anything like this? I haven’t done it and can’t find it on Google.
