Azmi argues that filmmakers have choices and can create effective and exciting content without resorting to graphic scenes. California startup Heirloom Carbon uses limestone as a carbon-sucking sponge to remove carbon dioxide from the air. The company has already struck a deal with Microsoft to help the tech giant achieve its zero-carbon goals. Experts say capturing CO2 directly from the atmosphere is crucial to tackling climate change, and it will be a key topic of discussion at the COP28 climate negotiations in Dubai. Heirloom aims to eliminate one billion tonnes of CO2 per year by 2035 without encouraging the continued use of fossil fuels.
Angel One acquires the team of fintech startup Dstreet
Stock exchange platform Angel One has acquired the team of fintech startup Dstreet Finance as part of a strategic move to improve its offerings for the Gen Z segment. The Dstreet Finance team will focus on content, user engagement and learning initiatives at Angel One. The acquisition marks Angel One’s first-ever acquisition of a tech startup team, with the company aiming to strengthen its market position and expand its range of consumer financial services. The assets, goodwill, brand and shares of Dstreet Finance were not acquired by Angel One.
