Huge tokens have been dropping left and right so far in 2024, and gaming projects are generating excitement. Gaming and network-related tokens have been among the biggest launches this year as the broader crypto market rebounds and airdrops accelerate.
From Portal has Pixels, these are the gaming tokens that have been making waves so far this year, ranked by maximum market capitalization to date according to price data at the time of writing. But there will definitely be other big chips to come, like our summary of game airdrops suggests, so stay tuned, we will continue to update this list.
We are using a maximum market cap of at least $100 million as the minimum benchmark for this list, as of this update, although we may change this mark throughout the year as more tokens are thrown.
1. Notcoin (NOT)
Peak price: $0.01455

There's a new reigning champion, and it's not even close. Notcoin launched its NOT token on The open network (TON) in May, and it quickly reached a market cap near $1.5 billion amid an airdrop claim available to some 35 million players.
Granted, as with many newly launched coins, the initial price was volatile and has since plunged, down more than 50% as of this writing. But this is just the beginning for Notcoin and the NOT token, since the Telegram-based game will continue to offer token rewards amid a planned future list of new games.

This also generated over a billion dollars in transactions in less than a single day.
With hundreds of thousands of daily users, Pixels has the attention of the crypto world and has also helped create some serious momentum around Ronin. PIXEL surpassed the price of $1 in mid-March, taking the top spot on the list. The maximum market capitalization shown above is based on the number of tokens in circulation at that time, although more tokens have been unlocked since.

And the SAGA token caused a sensation, first with a Binance Launchpool campaign records which saw customers stake over $13.4 billion in funds to win SAGA rewards, and then with a record price that propelled the token to number two on our list at this point in the year. And there is more airdrop rewards coming soon.
4. Portal (PORTAL)
Peak price: $3.36
Maximum market capitalization: $561.6 million
Just launched on February 29, Portal arrived with a level of hype we haven't seen one in the crypto gaming space for some time. This is due in part to an airdrop farming campaign that saw users flood Twitter with tweets – and a then-record Binance campaign (since broken by Saga) that saw users stake over $9 billion worth of crypto in hopes of bringing in rewards didn't hurt. .
The price fell quite quickly, however, and hasn't been close to regaining that ground since this last update. Can it Ethereum-token based on upcoming cross-chain gaming platform regains hype?
