I have an old wallet from around 10 years ago that I found in Bitcoin Core. I tried to send the balance to another wallet I use, but the transaction remained pending. Looking for help on what to do.
Here is what happened :
- Upgraded to the latest Bitcoin Core v27, allowing the blockchain to fully sync
- Creating a tx to send BTC from the old wallet to the new wallet (with recommended fees)
- Tx sat for a few days with no confirmation, so I went to get help on how to raise the fees.
- Using the “Increase Fees” option in Core failed, so I tried something I found in a thread using -walletbroadcast=0
- Managed to drop tx in Core/old wallet
- Created a new transaction with 2x fees just to see if that helped, but the transmission is still pending (Core says in memory pool, but unconfirmed)
- mempool.space shows the balance of the old wallet address as 0, but still shows the original transmission as pending in the new wallet
Looking for ideas/help on what to do to transfer my BTC to my new wallet
