YouTuber and investigator Coffeezilla has followed up on his initial attack targeting the company behind the Rabbit R1 artificial intelligence (AI) device.
The online personality, real name Stephen Findeisen, who often takes an in-depth look at various influencer scams, turned his anger on Rabbit Incorporation for what he described as a product “built on a scam”.
In response, the company downplayed Coffeezilla's findings, but instead of allaying concerns or providing answers, the rebuttal only provoked further scrutiny and bad publicity.
In the second part of his investigation, Coffeezilla began the 18-minute YouTube broadcast with the following intro:
“This tech company criticized me so much for their previous scam that I decided to investigate their current project, Rabbit (R1), and what I found out was shocking.”
More specifically, he wanted to detail what exactly the AI model in the Rabbit R1 gadget, as the company claims. It has been claimed that the AI built into the device, called Lamb, could be a life assistant whose official advertising said: “Sstart my morning routine, order me an Uber and find me a good podcast to pass the time, oh and tell everyone I might be late.
He might also check the refrigerator and rearrange the ingredients from your last meal. The pitch seemed impressive as the marketing tools secured over $20 million in pre-orders.
But “the lamb as announced does not exist”
Coffeezilla then criticized Rabbit Incorporation, not for whether they had a good or bad product, but for Lamb's AI credentials.
“A a group investigation revealed that Rabbit doesn't actually use new fundamental AI model, it is actually discussGPT with hardcoded files scripts, which is funny because Jesse (Lyu, founder of RabbitR1) says Rabbit is faster than chatGPT.
He continued: “Wthe hat is really annoying For me it's not that it's bad (Rabbit R1), it's that the The main selling point of this product is built on a lie and that lie is the Lamb.
“I think of the best thing you can say to this point about Jesse and Rabbit is that they promised way too much and underdelivered, the worst that can be said Is this consumer fraud?
Coffeezilla punctuated his salvo by claiming that he had spoken to a Rabbit employee and, on condition of anonymity, they stated that “Lamb like announced does not exist.
The investigator reached out to the company for a final response and comments that included a statement (shared on video) said: “You are not interested in taking a balanced or objective approach, or in working with us in a good manner. faith” and “Rabbit stands behind its product”.
