Voice acting in video games is big business and a solid career choice these days if you have a smooth tone for the job. Very often you will find someone who voices your favorite character in a video game and often appears as the voice of many other characters you have played in games over the years.
The latest example of a gaming resume like a fine wine is that of Judy Alice Lee who is currently doing incredible work as Melinoe, the main character in Hades II. The game may be in Early Access, but voice work from the brilliant first game has returned to breathe even more life into the sequel.
But this isn't Judy's first gaming rodeo. The Korean American from Los Angeles has been working on video game and animation voiceovers since her first appearance in League of Legends in 2009.
Who is the voice actress of Hades 2?
Since then, she's appeared in many of the biggest video game franchises, lending her talents to characters you and I know very well.
From the expression Yun Jin in Genshin Impact has Yunifi in the recent and amazing Unicorn Overlord, Judy has also appeared in many Call of Duty games and also recently played Ularu Chen in Star Field and Neyrelle in Diablo IV. She also “appeared” in the Spider-Man 2 video game.
In fact, it was her performance as Neyrelle that stood out to me when I played Hades II and at first I thought, wait, I know that voice. The voice acting in both games is exceptional.
Judy Alice Lee has also done extensive television work, including the He-Man: Masters of the Universe reboot, Barbie, Trolls, and Curious George.
You can pretty much bet whatever your next favorite video game is, if you check the credits you might also find Judy Alice Lee among them.
